EU and migration
Migration is one of the current ones in the European Union because the entry of a large number of people in the countries can cause a crisis.
The war in Syria caused a migration crisis in many countries, but I think it is selfish not to welcome refugees. They are people who are fleeing from a war. They have left their homes, their belongings and their families to try to survive. The European Union must welcome them because people come first, even if they are not from your country.
I did my final degree work analyzing all the news related to Afghanistan in the spanish newspapers during the return of the Taliban. Every day there was news of correspondents in Brussels taking statements from Borrell and it was related to refugees. In this conflict, the countries did not welcome Afghans, they only cared about their compatriots.
After the Syrian crisis, which fostered Euroscepticism because I think the population is racist, the European Union is acting cautiously and analyzing every move. And I think that he acts in disagreement with his values to continue strengthening the bloc and that a new Brexit does not take place.
There are also times when countries feel pressured by the entry of immigrants. I know the
cases of Turkey and Morocco. In Morocco, they open the border of Ceuta and Melilla to let people enter en masse. They do it to seek a favorable policy with Spain and the European Union also comes into play. Turkey is the country of refugees. Many Afghans also went there in exchange for money from the United States. If Turkey opens the borders and lets people out freely there may be problems.
It is a very complicated issue to address because there is a diversity of opinions, for me people come first and the borders must be open for those who have a conflict in their country.
For the rest of the people it is true that it should be more regulated. The problem I find is that depending on the nationality you are the good or the bad. If you come from Syria or Afghanistan nobody wants you to come, but if you are Ukrainian everyone feels sorry for you and welcomes you with delight. It is very hypocritical.
In conclusion, European Union does not want more problems and acts with some policies to avoid and reduce the euroescepticism.
