Per il prossimo mese noi terremo un progetto, in collaborazione con la Scuola Elementare del Petraro, denominato “Sharing is caring – EU version”. In questo progetto condivideremo la conoscenza dell’Unione Europea e tutti i suoi vantaggi e allo stesso tempo insegneremo l’inglese a bambini di diverse classi. Ogni settimana terremo lezioni con quattro classi, la quinta e quarta elementare, causa covid online, per aiutarli a migliorare e praticare il loro inglese.
Questo progetto segue il lavoro svolto negli anni scorsi dagli altri volontari in altri istituti scolastici, dove l’interazione ed il contatto con ragazzi della comunità locale davano benefici sia ai volontari che agli stessi ragazzi. Da un lato i volontari stranieri che grazie a queste attività possono interagire con la comunità locale, imparare a stare a contatti con bambini e ragazzi, scoprire i loro modi di agire e pensare. Dall’altra parte, invece, i giovanissimi locali, che grazie alle presenza di volontari europei possono comprendere i benefici della Comunità Europea, scoprire altre culture e migliorare il proprio inglese in modo divertente.
For the next month we will hold a project, in collaboration with the Petraro Elementary School, called “Sharing is caring – EU version”. In this project we will share the knowledge of the European Union and all its advantages and at the same time teach English to children in different classes. Each week we will hold four classes, the fifth and fourth grade, due to covid online, to help them improve and practice their English.
This project follows the work done in recent years by other volunteers in other schools, where the interaction and contact with children from the local community benefited both the volunteers and the children themselves. On one hand, foreign volunteers will with these activities interact with the local community, learn to be in contact with children and young people and discover new ways of acting and thinking. On the other hand, the young locals, who thanks to the presence of the European volunteers can understand the benefits of the European Community, discover other cultures and improve their English in a fun way.
